Here's my only concern is that Intel will soon be releasing their new processor in the Core 2 Extreme line code-named Penryn. This will support a 45 nano meter form factor, which makes it cooler, more efficient, and saves battery. It will be sporting up to 2.8GHz of independently overclocking dual core processor that lets you run single threaded apps at screaming speeds. Here's the problem, its release date has been rumored to be not until Q1 2008 :(. This means that it will most likely be released in MBP's at Macworld '08 in January. We'll just have to wait and see what Intel's next move is!

Intel Penryn
I've been looking at the 17" MacBook Pro's lately and I'm planning on purchasing one sometime in the next 6 months or so. I love what Apple has to offer at this point in time: 2.4GHz Intel Santa Rosa processor, full HD high-res screen for only 90 bucks extra, 7200 rpm 160GB drive, wireless draft N wifi built in, firewire 800 is one of my favorite ports in the world, magsafe power plug, 8x super drive with DVD+DL support, digital audio in/out, and that and a whole lot more is in a notebook an inch thick!
