Rustic Overtones Reunite!

Tonight the Rustic Overtones ROCKED the WCYY patio at One City Center in Portland, ME. They played an hour show and boy did they an awesome show! This show was their first in 6 years, but they seem like they might be back for good even though they originally said it was only for the summer, we'll see!

Intel Penryn

I've been looking at the 17" MacBook Pro's lately and I'm planning on purchasing one sometime in the next 6 months or so. I love what Apple has to offer at this point in time: 2.4GHz Intel Santa Rosa processor, full HD high-res screen for only 90 bucks extra, 7200 rpm 160GB drive, wireless draft N wifi built in, firewire 800 is one of my favorite ports in the world, magsafe power plug, 8x super drive with DVD+DL support, digital audio in/out, and that and a whole lot more is in a notebook an inch thick!

Here's my only concern is that Intel will soon be releasing their new processor in the Core 2 Extreme line code-named Penryn. This will support a 45 nano meter form factor, which makes it cooler, more efficient, and saves battery. It will be sporting up to 2.8GHz of independently overclocking dual core processor that lets you run single threaded apps at screaming speeds. Here's the problem, its release date has been rumored to be not until Q1 2008 :(. This means that it will most likely be released in MBP's at Macworld '08 in January. We'll just have to wait and see what Intel's next move is!

PandoraJam

My wish has come true! A stand alone application to play my Pandora streaming radio, and boy is is beautiful and easy to use. PandoraJam lets you start a new account or log into your previously created account and essentially use the online mini Pandora player but without the use of a browser. This saves system resources and looks 10 times better.

If that doesn't do it for you, PandoraJam also lets you record and pause the Pandora channels, so you can listen to recorded songs on your iPod or in iTunes any time!
